Easter Weekend: Everyday Superheroes
3 April - 6 April
Explore the museum’s historic building, the country’s first purpose-built combined Police, Fire and Ambulance Station, and discover the role of our everyday heroes. Take part in our Easter weekend trail around the museum and climb onboard our Tyne Class Lifeboat, the 'City of Sheffield', take part in family activities and draw your very own everyday hero, and see our temporary art exhibition by Yorkshire artist Paul Digby.
Join in the fun this Easter weekend as we discover the role of everyday heroes who help us out at sea, with our RNLI Tyneclass Lifeboat open for visitors to climb aboard, see where rescuers work, and see the amazing equipment this boat would have carried. Please note, we can only accommodate small groups of people at any one time inside the boat. As the boat is outside, this activity is subject to weather conditions.
