Robots are taking over the Museum this May half-term!

Discover how robots help 999 crews keep people safe. Design your own recycled rescue robot, try our robot driving challenge, try moving and lifting objects robot-style, and see our real bomb disposal robot up close.

Join us for hands-on robot-themed activities across the museum, perfect for curious young engineers and future rescuers.

This May Bank Holiday Weekend, visitors will have the chance to climb aboard and explore our historic RNLI lifeboat, the City of Sheffield. Usually viewed from the outside, this special open weekend gives you the opportunity to step on deck, look around inside, and discover what life was like for the brave volunteer crews who answered emergency calls at sea.

The lifeboat will be open during the museum's normal opening hours throughout the May Bank Holiday Weekend, subject to weather conditions.
