Celebrate your birthday at the Museum!
Price, rooms and times:
Birthday parties start with a minimum of 15 paying guests at a minimum cost of £88.50 (based on at least 3 adults and 12 children, or the equivalent cost of discounted admission).
Room hire is available on weekends between 10.00–12.30 and 13.00–15.30. Your party space is available to you during these time slots only; however, all guests are welcome to stay and explore the museum during our normal opening hours of 10.00–16.00.
Depending on group size and availability, parties will be hosted in either our Event Space or the Hayloft Café, which will be allocated as your designated party area for the booked time slot.
Party hire is available at a discounted rate of £5.50 per child and £7.50 per adult for groups of 15 or more paying guests, subject to the minimum value above. To confirm your booking, a completed booking form and a £60 non-refundable deposit are required.
Party food
The choice is completely yours. You’re very welcome to bring your own food for your guests, or you can keep things completely hassle-free and let us take care of everything for you so you can relax and enjoy the celebration.
Our cold party buffet, available from £10 per person, is a popular option for parents looking for an easy and stress-free party. The buffet includes a generous selection of sandwiches (ham, cheese and egg mayonnaise), ready salted crisps, sausage rolls, cheese and onion rolls, cocktail sausages, pasta, cake buns, and drinks (blackcurrant and orange). We also provide all plates, cups and cutlery, so there’s no washing up to worry about.
Alternatively, you can choose from our pre-ordered children’s lunch boxes, which are ideal for younger guests and help keep everything simple and organised. Just let us know your preference when booking, and we’ll take care of the rest.
