Accessibility
The museum is housed in a historic building and access in and around some areas of the museum can be limited. The museum uses light effects, sound, smoke and smells in some exhibitions to help bring history to life.
Gift Aid
Did you know the National Emergency Services Museum is a charity that receives no ongoing funding towards its survival? This means UK taxpayers can make a real difference by supporting charities like ours by saying YES to gift aid.
Temperature
As a historic building, some areas of the museum can feel unusually cold at times. It’s a small reminder of what winter must have been like for the prisoners who once occupied the cells. If it's cold outside, it can also be cold inside some areas of our site.
999 Staff
As a big thank you to our emergency services for their continued support through donations of equipment, stories and more, we offer discounted entry for 999 staff.
